These hair ties are named after my favorite book, All About Love by Bell Hooks. As I reclaimed love through Hook’s eyes, I let these hair ties inspire me throughout the process, from texture to sheen to color and visual balance, until I felt as if they embodied love in its truest form. Coincidentally, these beauties took an angelic, bridal form. Instead of signifying commitment to another, whether god or man, as it is meant to adorn oneself, it embodies the commitment we must make to ourselves. And so we, too, reflect pure love from the inside out.
