On the first warm day of spring, I lay in a patch of grass at the raw edge of Lake Michigan. I watched dozens of beautiful dragonflies in the sky above me, dashing and dogging birds and basking in the birth of a new season. These beautiful earrings are inspired by this moment and the Blue Dasher, known for its adaptability to urban landscapes. I experimented with my original dragonfly design with different beads, textures, and dentalium shell accents to create something new and unique. Just like the dragonfly, if these earrings catch the light, they sparkle, sharing the kind of beauty that can only be captured in moments that pass by so swiftly.
